Chief Rolling Thunder
Frank Van Zant (1920-1989) also known as Chief Rolling Mountain Thunder, built Thunder Mountain Park in the high desert of Nevada starting sometime around 1968. We stopped by early today on our way home from Idaho, to visit Thunder Mountain & take a few photos... There are no rangers or tour guides. Actually we were the only ones there and it looked like there had been no visiters in quite a while...
Just drive down a bumpy road alongside I80, park your car, and wander around...
